• You wish to sell an item such as a picture (as an example)
• List your item specifying a starting price and a reserve price which is the minimum amount you wish to sell your picture for
• 4tradeit members will then place bids on the picture
• 4tradeit notifies the bidders when they have been outbid
• If the auction closes above reserve, 4tradeit will send an email to you and to the highest bidder with each other's details. It is then important to email each other to organise payment and delivery for the picture
• If bidding has met your stated reserve, you will be charged a success fee and will be legally obligated to complete the sale
• There is no fee and/or obligation to sell your picture if the highest bid is less than the reserve price stated in your auction

Classifieds

• You wish to sell an item such as a house (as an example)
• List your house specifying a price you would like to sell the house
• A 4tradeit member agrees to pay you the price stated in the classified listing for the house
• If you are happy with price offered by the 4tradeit member, go to your 'Items I'm Selling' page and click on the 'Sold' Icon for this listing
• It is then important to email each other to organise payment and any other items related to the sale of the house
• A listing fee will be charged at the time you place a classified listing. There are no further fees to pay when the house sells

Tips for designing an attractive listing

• Title:
  Use a title that clearly describles the item you are selling with relevant keywords to help buyers to easily find your listing
• Pricing:
  Search 4tradeit categories to see what items similar to yours are selling for. You can also choose to sell the item for a fixed price. This feature is called 'Buy Now'
• Photos:
  Upload good quality photos of the item you have for sale. You can upload multiple photos
• Description:
  Include as much detail as you can about the item. Remember to include details such as the age, condition, model, brand and any unique features
• Shipping:
  It is important to include costs to courier the item. Buyers like to know upfront what shipping costs are
• Advertising extras:
  Bolding, featured listing, better placement and other advertising extras help increase the number of bids your listing will receive
• Payments:
  The most popular payment method is by bank deposit. For expensive items buyers may prefer to be given an option to pay through Paypal

After an auction closes

• Send an email with your payment details e.g. bank account number to the successful buyer
• Ask the buyer for their delivery address details. The normal process is the buyer pays for the goods and the stated shipping costs
• When payment has been received and the bank has cleared the funds, send the item to the buyer
• It is then important that the buyer and seller both place feedback about the sale
